NextGen Attorneys Previously Admitted PHV or MDL Applying for Admission
Attorneys who have an account linked to PACER from a previous PHV or MDL admission will be unable to apply for admission through PACER until the account is unlinked. To request that your account be unlinked to apply for admission, follow the instructions below:
Please note: This only applies to attorneys who have an upgraded PACER account that is already linked to a CM/ECF account. When attempting to apply for admission, the "Massachusetts District Court" option will be missing from the dropdown.
IMPORTANT: Once the account is unlinked, the attorney will be unable to file until they are admitted after attending an admission ceremony. Please ensure filing will not be needed until the attorney attends the admission ceremony.
Notify the Court
Please send an email to attyrereg@mad.uscourts.gov and request that your PACER account be unlinked.
Note: Please include the attorney's full name and MA state bar number (BBO).
Wait for Processing
Allow the court to process your request and unlink the account. You will be notified by email once your account is unlinked.
Apply for Admission
Once your account is unlinked, you may proceed with your application for admission.
