Discovering Justice
The James D. St. Clair Court Education Project
Discovering Justice was created to promote education about the role of the justice system in American democracy. In 1998, with the cooperation of the federal judges in Boston, the Boston Bar Foundation established the Federal Court Public Education Project to serve as a vehicle to educate young people, for engaged citizenship. The judges of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts wanted the U.S. Courthouse to be a community center as well as a locus for the resolution of legal disputes.
